Alone on the Hill
During brief periods in early May in Florida, you can catch many of the shorebird species in their vibrant breeding plumage as they migrate north to their arctic breeding grounds. This black-bellied Plover is a great example of a shorebird in breeding plumage that you can observe in the United States without having to travel to the arctic with your camera.
