White-tailed Deer
While walking along the boardwalk at Corkscrew Swamp, this White-tailed Deer walked 2/3rds of the way across a field before she spotted me and paused for about 10 seconds before running back in the direction that she came.

Florida Burrowing Owl
Florida Burrowing Owls occur in the central and southern part of the Florida. They are particularly common in the Cape Coral/Fort Myers areas where they have adapted to people. Because they life in close proximity to human, they are very tame and allow a close approach. They are also social and are fun to watch as they kick sand out of their burrow, interact with other owls, or catch an insect on the wing.

This particular owl allowed a very close approach and I tried as best as possible to get down close to the ground on the same level to achieve a pleasing composition. I enjoy capturing subjects against pure color backgrounds like in this image because it separates the subject from the background very well.
