I really enjoyed photographing these Snowy Plovers on St George's Island State Park this past March. They were moderately tame, although I had to give them more time to acclimate to my presence than I'm used to. From a photographic perspective I wish they didn't have the bands as I think it detracts from the beauty of the birds, but we do need scientific research to better understand their life history.
